Auckland-based poet and scholar Selina Tusitala Marsh will perform works from her own award-winning collection, Fast Talking PI. NYU Performance Studies Graduate student and Indigenous artist, facilitator, and organizer si dåko’ta alcantara-camacho will guide the post-reading conversation.
Dr. Selina Tusitala Marsh is an Auckland-based Pacific poet and scholar of Samoan, Tuvaluan, English, Scottish and French descent, and is the co-Chair of the South Pacific Association of Language and Literature. Fast Talking PI, which is Dr. Marsh’s first book of poetry, was awarded the New Zealand Society of Authors Jessie Mackay Best First Book Award for Poetry 2010.
