What better way to spend a summer Saturday evening than enjoying America’s favourite pass time – baseball! If you haven’t experience minor league baseball then this is your chance. You get to be up close to the action and watch some of the future stars of the MLB. Throughout the years, several future Major League stars got their start in Staten Island, including Robinson Cano, Brett Gardner, Francisco Cervelli, Melky Cabrera, Ian Kennedy and John Axford.
The Staten Island Yankees play at the beautiful Richmond County Bank Ballpark at St. George. Located a very short walk from the Staten Island Ferry, the stadium has a centerfield view which includes the Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty.
The cost is $25 per ticket (adult or child (under 2 go for free)) which provides you entrance to the game, a buffet of All-You-Can-Eat chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, and soft drinks for two and a half hours after the gates open (6pm). Load up on the delicious ballpark food while taking in the spectacular view of the NYC skyline.
