Marjorie S. Deane Little Theater at the Y

* The Wagner Society of New York is pleased to welcome Professor Lees — Emeritus Professor of Music at the University of Auckland, internationally known lecturer, dynamic communicator on music topics and Wagner in particular, founder and long time President of the Wagner Society of New Zealand, author of Mallarmé and Wagner: Music and Poetic Language and many articles and reviews.  He will speak from the piano and will also use audio and visual illustrations to enhance his presentations.

* This lecture tour includes Wagner societies in San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto, Washington, Boston, and New York. As a result of his acclaimed lectures at the Melbourne Ring in 2012, he has developed a superb 4-DVD set “Wagner’s Ring — A Tale Told in Music” (different from this presentation).  The set is available for purchase at a discount, at the event @$85.00 or by mail @$90.00 (domestic only).

* Patrons of this event receive a very special offer — reserved seating, listing in program, and the 4-DVD set.

* Reservations are advised; reserve early: seating is limited.  Open seating. Please use the secure online reservation form at www.wagnersocietyny.org
